Maybe this will be an incentive for me to clean up this shelf! I never want to do it because it is stuff that can't go in the regular trash. Here is a way to safely get rid of some of those dangerous chemicals. I heard about this drop off this morning on WIBC and thought you might like to know about it too.

Properly dispose of your household hazardous waste and electronics during the Glendale ToxAway Day at the Glendale Mall overflow parking lot, 6101 N. Rural St.

These electronic items will be accepted only during this event:
- TVs (under 27 diagonal)
- VCRs and DVD players
- Gaming systems
- Stereos and related items
- Telephones and telephone answering machines
- Fax machines
- Small personal electronics (phonographs, tape/CD players, Gameboys, Walkmans, radios)
Items acceptable on this day and others include:
- Aerosol cans
- Automotive fluids
- Cell phones
- Computers, laptops and computer-related items
- Fluorescent lights bulbs
- Gasoline
- Glue and adhesives
- Car batteries
- Household cleaners
- Lawn care products
- Paints, stains and paint thinners
- Pool chemicals
- Propane tanks (up to 20 lbs)
- Thermometers
- Thermostats
- Upholstery and carpet cleaners
- Used motor oil
You also can take items to one of these Tox Drop locations throughout the year.
