NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - It's like a huge garage sale geared toward families at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Noblesville. Both sellers and shoppers are benefiting.
Two-year-old Cole helped his mom, Erin Bradley, pick out items for his new little sister due in September.
"They have Carters and all these name-brand clothes for three dollars. I would say that you save 75 percent of what you normally pay," said Bradley.
Families consign their unwanted baby and teen items to Just Between Friends. If it sells, the family earns 70 percent. Just Between Friends gets 30 percent.
"It's unreal that you can make money with the toys that are laying on your living room floor," said Dawn Pfannenstiel with Just Between Friends. "With the economy, we have seen an increase in consignors -- 30 percent from this sale to last sale and an increase in sales as well."
Some items for sale haven't even been worn yet and still have the tags attached.
"Today we sold an Evenflow exercise saucer for five dollars. Those things are $40 to $65 depending on where you get them at," said Pfannenstiel.
First-time mom Jennifer Dotzert has a four-month-old son named Travis at home. She's searching for boys clothes that she doesn't mind getting dirty.
"For first-time moms, it's kind of nice because there's a big variety and you are not quite sure what you need. So instead of paying full price for something, you can kind of try it out," said Dotzert.
The sale continues Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. For directions go here.
Thanks so much to my friend Elizabeth for heads up on this sale!
