Aldi - East Washington Street - .99 cent Milk

I just got back from a run to Aldi and the store on East Washington Street - just west of Shadeland Ave currently has all their milk priced at .99 a gallon! This is most likely a price match with CVS or they bought too much milk this week - but it's a great price. I don't know how long this price will be in effect.

Children's Museum of Indianapolis - Family Free Night Thursday 4-8pm

This Thursday night from 4-8 pm is the Family Free Night at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. You can go here for more details.

Make sure you visit the new Take Me There Egypt Exhibit - it was busy when were were there last, but not too busy for the kids to have fun!

First Day of School - First Grade

Today we started school for the year- first grade! On the first day of school we usually have a bit of extra fun and make some scrapbook pages.

You don't need to be a "homeschooler" to have fun with this idea. You could do it when the kids come home after the first day of school! We like to make hand prints with paint and I like to have my little boy write his alphabet and this year he even wrote a few words.

It was fun to see the progress from the first day of Kindergarten when he wasn't able to write the whole alphabet yet.

Now that the school year is on - I will be limiting the time I have for Frugal Indy. So- the posts will probably be going to only a few times a week. But you can always check the wonderful lists of blogs in the left-side column for some great deals and reading.
