Computer Update - Good News!

After around 10 hours of bad hold music, talking to (10 +) technicians in several countries, and 3 days of wanting to go back to the pre-computer era, my home computer is now happy and virus free!

I'm so glad to be back! I did not seem to lose any information - except all the wonderful bookmarks that I had in my Safari browser =( So, since it could have been SOOOO much worse- I will count my blessings!

Computer Update - Day 3

Well, hopefully things will be back to normal tomorrow! Thanks to a some very helpful techs from Gateway, AT&T and Microsoft, I am getting things back together!

I have one observation about the past three days - I heard a lot of "on hold" music while waiting for techs to answer and WOW there is some really weird stuff out there!

I will be posting the weekly "Grocery Get-Together" and "Drugstore Deals" tomorrow morning. So be on the look out for those things!

Computer Update - Day 2

Well, I am up and running - sort of.  We were able to get the computer working once again - but haven't worked all the "bugs" out of it yet!  Thanks for being patient with me while I work through this bump!

By the way - if you run on Windows I highly HIGHLY recommend that you make sure you have all your updates current by going to the Microsoft website.  

Also - if you are having trouble opening or updating any security systems on your computer - you may have this confounding Coflicker!  I have to admit that if I could place an evil curse on the person that came up with this worm I would!  (That's not nice of me is it!)  I've been wishing them flat tires, cold coffee and a burnt dinner!

My advice - make sure you run your security scans and that your security is updated!  

Don't worry though - this is a problem with my personal computer and not the Frugal Indy website - so don't worry that you will have any problems surfing here!  We are hosted by Google and so you are safe!

Computer Update

Well - I am hopeful that my little old home computer will once again be running soon! I spent - what seemed like hours on the phone with a very nice tech and it seems the system recovery worked. Now to find out if there is still anything left on the hard drive!

Meanwhile, you can still use Frugal Indy! It does not affect my website - only my personal home computer.

I've Caught the Virus

I will be down for a bit due to my computer being infected with the virus. I hope to be back to daily posts ASAP!

If I don't get back on until tomorrow - Thursday night will be the free night at the Children's Museum.
