Thrifty Thursday & the Yard Sale Round-Up 11/6/08

Thrifty Thursday

Hello it is Thursday and I would like to add something to our "Yard Sale Round-Up" post.  I realize that going into winter we are not likely to have many yard sales, although there may be some craft sales and such.  So I would like to give you the opportunity to share a Thrifty Thursday Tip - just leave it in the comment section below.   You can tell me about a favorite Thrifty store, Thrifty household tip,  or any other Thrifty tip you have!  See the comments for my Thrifty tip and then leave yours!

Yard Sale Round-Up

I would like to offer you the opportunity to advertise your Yard Sale or Garage Sale, ChurchBazaar, or Kids Clothing Sale for others to see - here for free!

Every Thursday I will post the Yard Sale Round-Up.  Please leave a comment telling us where your sale will be, what you will be selling, and the time  and days of the sale.

These are the guidelines to follow:
List your sale in the comments section of this post.
Please post Yard/garage sales for the upcoming weekend only.
Start your comment with the type of sale and general location of the sale.  (ex. Yard Sale - South side or Church Bazaar - Far North side)
Post the location, dates and times.
You may leave a link to your website or  blog (or an email address),  if there is more information or directions to your sale listed there.

I welcome postings for Community Sales, School Sales, Church Sales and such!

Redbox is a great way to rent a movie. They are only $1.00 a day and have new releases. You can check from home if the Redbox near you has the movie you want.

I like it because we don't have to go into a video store - which usually has tons of offensive videos sitting around on the shelves (not the place to take children!) Also, there's one just around the corner at the McDonalds. So my husband and I can have an ice cream sundae and a movie for around $3.00

To make it better yet use the free codes you can find here;

http://www.insideredbox.com/redbox-codes/

They usually work, but take 2 or 3 free codes with you just in case.

You can find a redbox near you at www.redbox.com

My favorite "thrifty" store is the Flower Factory in Greenwood. You have to have a membership-but it's so worth it-you can get great craft supplies (ribbon, scrapbook stuff,) Christmas and other home decorations and even catering stuff like paper plates and cups for really cheap prices! :)
